Privacy Policy

The Georgia Golf Champions Foundation, Inc. runs georgiagolfchampions.org. This policy explains what information the site collects, what we do with it, and the choices you have. We collect as little as we can, we never sell it, and we only share it with the services that help us run the Foundation.

What we collect

When you write to us

The contact form asks for your name, your email address, what you are writing about, and your message. A phone number is optional. The message is sent to the Foundation by email. A copy is kept in a private archive on the site so nothing gets lost. We use it to answer you and to keep a record of the conversation.

When you give

Online gifts are handled by Givebutter, the giving platform the Foundation uses. Givebutter collects your name, email address, payment details and any message you leave with your gift. It sends the Foundation what it needs to thank you and to issue a receipt for your taxes. We never see or store your card number. Givebutter's own privacy policy covers the information it holds.

When you become a member or supporter

Members and Supporters are recognized by name on our Donate page, in the category they joined. If you would rather not be listed, or would like your listing changed, tell us and we will take care of it. Supporters also receive Georgia Tap-Ins, our monthly magazine, by email. Every issue carries a link to stop the emails.

When you visit

We use Plausible Analytics to see how many people visit the site and which pages they read. Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect anything that identifies you. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes the standard connection data every website needs to deliver its pages and to protect the site, such as your IP address and the type of browser you use. We keep a log of requests for pages that do not exist so we can fix broken links; that log does not record who you are.

Cookies

The site does not set cookies of its own. The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to block spam. The Givebutter giving form runs inside the Donate page. Each of those services may set its own cookies, under its own privacy policy.

How we use your information

We use what you share to answer your messages, to process and acknowledge gifts, to recognize members and supporters, to send Georgia Tap-Ins to the people who asked for it, and to keep the Foundation's records. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

The services that run the site and the Foundation's giving receive what they need to do their jobs: Givebutter for gifts, Cloudflare for hosting, Resend for delivering form messages, Google for spam protection on the form, and Plausible for visitor counts. We may also share information when the law requires it. Nobody else receives it.

Children

The site is written for adults. Families, coaches and camp staff write to us about junior golfers; we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, tell us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

The site links to mr. stat, to the organizations that run Georgia tournaments, to FCA Golf Georgia and to Givebutter. Each of those sites has its own privacy policy. This one does not cover them.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Supporters can stop the magazine emails from any issue. Members and Supporters can ask to be left off the Donate page.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, the new version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
